Gallery Wall
Gallery Wall turns an Apple TV into a picture wall. It plays a slideshow of 423 public-domain paintings, from Dutch landscapes to Monet, Van Gogh and Kandinsky, each in a frame and mat you choose. Everything is in the app: it needs no account and no internet connection.
Using the remote
| Button | Slideshow | Menu open |
|---|---|---|
| Left / right | Previous or next painting | Move between rows and columns |
| Select | Open the menu | Choose the focused row |
| Play/Pause | Pause or resume | Pause or resume |
| Back | Leave the app | Close the menu |
The menu shows the title, artist and year of the current painting. It also sets the interval between paintings, shuffle, which collections to play, whether the painting fills the screen, and the frame: moulding, width, mat colour, mat texture and depth, a double mat and a metal fillet. Settings are kept between launches.
